Visiting LOFT City Church

Let’s face it, visiting a church for the first time can be a little intimidating. Our goal is to help make your first visit to LOFT City great and help you make a connection with Jesus and with his people!

To make your first visit easier you can let us know you are coming and we will:

  • Meet you at the front door.
  • Introduce you around.
  • Help you get your kids checked in to Kid’s Church.
  • Give you a tour of the church.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What Are Your Services Like?

Each weekend at LOFT City Church you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We’re a small church that believes in a Big God that is able to  do more than we can ask or think. One of the first things you will probably notice when you come for service is that we are incredibly diverse. By God’s grace, our church is made up of people from all over the world.

Our services are fairly simple. We sing, read Scripture, hear a sermon from God’s Word, and end with communion and more singing.

Our Worship Ministry is unique because God has blessed us with several incredible worship leaders. Each week is a different style and each group will lead us in Christ-centered worship. One week we might be singing hymns, the next week we might be singing modern contemporary songs, the next week we might be singing in different languages. One week, you will even see our youth leading our singing.

Our sermons tend to be more expository rather than topic. We like to go through books of the Bible and hear what God is saying to us through those passages. Our aim is to take the sacred text, explain what it means, tie it to other scriptures so people can see the whole picture a little better, and apply it to life so it bites and heals, instructs, and edifies.

  • What Should I Wear?

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Weekend Service. Come in what is comfortable for you, because LOFT City is not about what you look like or what you wear.

  • What is it Like to Visit For The First Time?

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you. We will warn you, if you stick around after service, you will meet some of the greatest followers of Jesus in the Dallas community!

  • What About My Children?

Our goal at LOFT City Church is to provide a safe environment for children from nursery age up to fifth grade to receive the life changing message of Jesus Christ in a relevant, creative, and engaging manner.

Nursery: We have a nursery that provides child care for crawlers up to the age of 5. If this is your first week coming, you can save a few minutes before service by registering your nursery age child online here. Be assured that the safety of your child is of utmost importance to us. We provide matching security numbers for parents and children.

Kids Church (Kindergarten – 6th grade): We love having our older kids sing songs to Jesus with us. As soon as the singing is done, we pray over our kids and then dismiss them to Kid’s Church where they learn the truths of God’s Word through our wonderful volunteers that love and invest into the lives of our children week in and week out. At the end of service, the kids are dismissed to their parents. Register your child before coming for service. Learn more about Kids Church.

  • How Can I Meet Others & Get Connected?

There are many ways to get involved. Every time there are five Sundays in a month we also host an “Introduction to LOFT City” where you get to meet the pastors, hear our history, find out the vision and ask questions that you would like answered. Two other great ways to get involved are to Volunteer and be part of a Missional Community Group. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.

  • How Can I Grow Deeper In My Faith?

In addition to our community groups, which ideally range in size from ten to twenty, we strongly encourage everyone to be involved in a Bible study. These are typically formed out of the members of any one community group and ideally consist of from three to four people of the same gender who meet regularly for accountability, encouragement, and prayer. Being involved in both a community group and a Bible study enables you to experience both the spiritual dynamics of a larger community of believers as well as the benefits that come from a more personal and relational engagement with a handful of Christians. Community groups are primarily for community, and Bible studies are primarily for discipleship—though both flow into each other significantly. If you are interested in getting into a Bible study, please reach out to your community group leader and they can get you plugged in.
